ThirstySouls 4 months agoPotential Training with GuideSpring's Journey Groups
I’ll be talking at 2pm tomorrow with Gayle Boyer, the Journey Groups admin at GuideSpring about a potential March 19-21 date for some of us to experience their process. They require everyone to go through the 9-12 session experience, and then offer training for people to lead their own groups. This is definitely an option for providing…

Good convo with Gayle. One guideline they have: they don’t allow people who know each other to be in the same group so it doesn’t affect the process. This means we’ll have to spread out our attendance as they offer the experience. We should discuss as a group availability and priority to make this happen.

ThirstySouls 4 months agoI Can't
There seems to be a common (shared) concern among us. A feeling of inadequacy. We don’t have what it takes. Inadequacy is defined as the condition of not being enough or not good enough. Feelings of inadequacy
are when we feel we’re not good enough. These feelings generally have
nothing to do with our actual performance or abilities in life.… -

ThirstySouls 4 months agoPay attention
Our lives are affected by what we pay attention to. The important question goes a bit deeper. Dr. Curt Thompson asks his patients to reflect on the question : How well am I paying attention to what I am paying attention to?
“It is one thing to pay attention to something. It is quite another to pay attention to what we’re paying attention…

Why ThirstySouls? (Origin of the Name)
A couple of things speak to me from this Psalm. Mostly, it causes questions about my walk with God. Do I really “thirst” for God? This question causes me to look at where I turn for help when the mental or physical struggles come my way. Do I turn to doctors, counselors, self-help books, etc? I’m not saying that using any of those things is…

The little “c” and the Large “C” is a way that I came up with to help me think about our relationship with our Father. Mankind was created in the image of God; “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,…

This is very helpful @bopbop . I’m curious about the little “c”, big “C” distinction. Where does that come from? I think it’s a good way of explaining how we move from the origin and possibility of children of God into the realty of Children of God. Adam was created as the son of God (Luke 3:38), but the Fall moved humanity out of the…

All human beings are children (small c) of God because they are created in His image. How do you feel about that statement? Christians as Children (large C) is based on the idea that we are a new creation in Christ. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God,…

ThirstySouls 4 months agoWho Am I
I was very blessed by our Thirsty Souls Zoom meeting last evening. There
were so many great things that were talked about. One of the things that caught my attention was when you, Katrina,
brought up the idea of knowing who we are. This has been on my mind all
morning. Not because I’ve never thought about it before, but because I
realize… - Load More
