This is a really useful “failed experiment” — which you point out is always “failing forward” in the spirit of the best science.

1. The vunerability of the church and missions to resource constraints due to it’s declining power and charity-economy.
2. The economic viability and “human-scale” economies of scale for alt-economies and Kingdom alternatives.

…and your People…

• Access to churches and missions through Camp Deerpark
• Access to a community focused on alt-economy / alt-society through Awakened Village and its forge the Future group.
• Access to local people through the Cedarwood Christian School co-op (Orange, Sullivan Counties NY, Sussex County, NJ)

…but what we’ve been working on is your Project: what can you do that deploys your Power against your Problem as its experience by your People.

So this “failed experiment” shows that even though writing is within your Power, it’s not well aligned to a project. It seems like the journalistic / essay style led to some anxiety and your response was that you just wanted to do something and maybe write about it later, if at all. That’s a useful insight about yourself that you don’t want to dwell on problems your not going to do anything about.

That made me reflect on why I was thinking of you writing in the first place. It think that’s because of the survey thing — wanting you to get a wide view of what’s happening in the alt-universe — and seeing you as an economist. Writing is one output of economists. But if we look at your Power, experimentation and reports/tools are probably way more your thing.
