Zeal and Compassion
The Lord said to me:
How can you have zeal for my house and not compassion for my children?
I was praying during a workshop session led by Hyacinth Stevens, and I saw myself renovating the spiritual walls of the Lord’s house with a plumb-line, but here were the children of the house running around my ladder. I also saw a remnant, arrayed in white, walking in such boldness their eyes shown in the fire of their zeal. As they walked the road dressed in white, many feared to approach them because of their purity and power. Yet, when they met “one of the least of these” on the road, they responded with such compassion the person was transformed. Their back would straighten, their clothes become white, and their eyes catch flame. Then they would fall in with this army on the move.
The Lord has been speaking to me about separating the institutions and man-work from the people in my heart so that:
Mercy and truth meet together.
Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. (Psalm 85:10 WEB)
