High Point Scouting Hike
Great hike yesterday to preview the route for The National Day of Prayer High Point Hike on May 7! The trail is easy to moderate difficulty with a few steep parts. There are some short steep areas with stone steps. My 76-year old Dad felt like the hike was challenging but doable.
We completed it in 2:15, but we didn’t take 5 minutes at each of the overlook prayer points as planned on the route, so adding about 30 minutes would be appropriate, which will put our completion time at 2:45 on May 7 arriving at the monument at 6:45 for final prayer.
The weather was great and the mountain was alive with spring flowers, a few butterflies, and some very busy bees.
