Fall ’26 Relationship and Resource Retreat

Camp Deerpark is hosting a invite-only fall retreat for current and emerging leaders with our partners. It’s a R&R retreat meaning we’ll focus on relationships and resourcing over content, teaching, or program. Our format will be conversation, laid-back, flexible and focused on empowering: whether than means taking a needed break, spending time in prayer, or talking out challenges and next steps.

What will we do at R & R?

Basically, we’ll block out time to live in balanced Church Life. Our time will be based on Acts 2:42-47 — and not locked into exclusive or unbalanced attention to only one or a few of the aspects of full life in the Body.

  • Devotion: Focusing on what we’re committing to God.
  • Apostolic Teaching: Jesus-center instruction, especially to empower mission and ministry
  • Fellowship: Building relationships through fellowship and inter-dependence
  • Breaking of Bread: Sharing food, time, and other physical resources
  • Prayer: Conversating with God together

Resource Person

Jared Looney of Global City will be our resource person. Jared is a missiologist specializing unreached people groups, post-christian populations, and emerging culture in an urbanizing and globalizing world. Global City is missionary sending agency in this context and also works to mobilize the church “from the pew to the harvest”. He’s the author of Crossroads of the Nations: Diaspora, Globalization, and Evangelism, Jumpstart Healthy Evangelism: Making Disciples in a Changing World, and co-author of Mosaic: A Ministry Handbook for a Globalizing World

Want to be included next time?

Since we don’t change for our R&R events, we ask out partners to identify people who would benefit from this investment of care and resources. If you’d like to join us, start by connecting to one of the partners in our community:
